The 2019 Fall Conference was held Oct. 27-30 at the JW Marriott in Phoenix. The organization celebrated its 30th anniversary as well as the first International Data Center Day with attendees.
The conference kicked off with a keynote address former NASA astronaut Mike Massimino.
Bob Cassiliano, chairman and CEO of 7x24 Exchange Intl., was the master of ceremonies.
In honor of International Data Center Day, attendees were encouraged to fill the branches of the career tree with all the opportunities available in the industry to spread awareness to the up and coming workforce.
Carrie Goetz, principal and CTO of StrategITcom, led a session organized by Women in Mission Critical Operations (WiMCO). After additional seating was brought in, the full room was approximately 50% women, 50% men.
The sessions attracted large crowds.
Chris McLean, director of mission critical solutions at M.C. Dean, led a panel of five industry experts to discuss “Concept to CX — Owner’s Operational Risk Management Strategy & Tactics.”
