Sammy Germany, Ph.D., MBA, PMP, is Thomas & Betts market development manager, power generation and renewable energy for North, Central and South America. He received his Bachelor of Science in geology and physics from the University of Texas; his master of business administration from American Intercontinental University in Lugano, Switzerland; and his Ph.D. from Warren National University in Aurora Hills, Calif. He has published two major documents on thin-film CIS and a:SI autoclaving and cell production, and one book on California codes for PV solar installation, in addition to numerous white papers and magazine articles. At T&B, he has helped secure two patents on solar wire management (2012), worked with ABB counterparts in developing "Paired Equipment Solutions" for a push/pull marketing strategy in power generation and renewable energy, and helped oversee communications in project development and product placement within power generation and renewable energy markets.
