The one-story, 40,000 square-foot greenfield data center is located on a 6-acre site. The facility includes two 10,000 square-foot data halls, which will support up to 2 MW of IT load each.
Data center needs will continue to grow as cloud service providers and social media and content streaming companies expand and 5G, AI, and edge computing gain traction, spurring development of additional capacity nationwide.
The first building spans 14,500 square meters. The total planned capacity of the complex is 31.5 MW — in other words, the center’s electrical connections could cover the energy needs of a small town.
Data centers will continue to shape the digital transformation in the U.S. and abroad. For large corporations, the time is now to invest heavily in technologies that are energy efficient and resilient.
Ali Fenn, president of ITRenew and one of Mission Critical’s inaugural Top 25 Women in Technology winners, discusses how data centers can contribute to a circular economy in this episode of The Thought Cloud.
NextDC sees Uptime Institute certifications for infrastructure as essential for businesses operating in an always-on digital world and has embedded these standards into its overarching strategy for delivering the highest quality and most reliable data center products and services in the market.
Situated on a 4.7-acre plot of freehold land with a gross floor space of 94,867 square feet, the property, which will be named London Data Centre, consists of three interlinked two-story buildings that house data center space along with ancillary office space.
