Schneider Electric announced two new series
of APC Smart-UPS models designed for use in server rooms and network closets.
Based on more than 20 years of design experience, these uninterruptible power
supplies (UPS) systems offer time-saving, user-friendly features like an LCD
interface with diagnostic capabilities and advanced energy management that
delivers clear and timely energy consumption metrics. In addition to providing
superior data protection, the Smart-UPS systems’ ‘green’ mode can achieve
efficiencies of more than 97-percent, for a utility and cooling savings
averaging more than $25 per year versus most line-interactive UPS systems.
Multistack has carved a name out in the HVAC world with 20- to 70-ton rock-solid reliable modular water-cooled chillers featuring dual scroll compressors for increased redundancy. Through their modular design they have helped save installation and demolition costs, but a need for larger capacity arose from our customers.
Energy
Secretary Steven Chu announced today that the Department of Energy
(DOE) is awarding $47 million from the American Recovery and
Reinvestment Act for 14 projects across the country to support the
development of new technologies that can improve energy efficiency in
the information technology (IT) and communication technology sectors.
Paladin
SmartGrid from EDSA is a “master controller” enabling the use of
on-premise and distributed energy sources-such as solar, wind, or
local co-generation-without jeopardizing the reliability of the
legacy utility grid.
By
adopting the advanced planning and optimization technologies of the
Elastra Cloud Server and by extending Elastra’s modeling languages,
customers can explicitly optimize the distribution of applications in
their data centers to maximize energy efficiency. Elastra
accomplishes this through two technologies available in the product.
LEM
S.A., announced Sentinel III an advanced set of components for a
battery monitoring solution that addresses the needs of (UPS) and
battery provider OEMs, as well as VARs, and systems integrators.
To improve operational and energy efficiency in data centers, Raritan added systems integration capabilities to its Power IQ data center energy management software and support for more data center equipment.
MovinCool's CM25 self-contained, ceiling-mounted air conditioner offers the industry’s highest cooling capacity for an air conditioner of its class, but at a lower cost than conventional solutions such as precision cooling systems.
Falcon
Electric, Inc. announced an optional ten-year rated long-life battery
in its SG Series UPS Plus product line. These batteries are rated to
last at least twice the service life of standard five-year batteries.
Since these new batteries cost more, they will remain an option on
Falcon’s flagship line of UPS.
Blade
Network Technologies, Inc. announced that Netezza, the global leader
in data warehouse and analytic appliances, has selected BLADE’s
Ethernet networking portfolio of products to provide the industry’s
highest-speed cross-platform data fabric.
