The Stratus EMS system monitors environmental conditions that can impact critical information equipment in server rooms and data centers. It has the ability to simultaneously monitor conditions like temperature, humidity, and power, as well as critical infrastructure, such as a power distribution unit or uninterruptible power supply. If a sensor detects a change in either environmental or equipment conditions, it sends an immediate alert to designated personnel. The cloud-based Stratus EMS system with supporting app enables users to check status and modify settings in real time from any mobile device. This comprehensive infrastructure-wide monitoring enables IT and data managers to react to conditions that lead to network interruptions before they become significant, costly problems. The system pulls information from integrated sensors of building control and server room equipment by reading values over Modbus RTU/485 and Modbus TCP. It monitors the performance of devices, like building automation systems, uninterruptible power supplies, power distribution units, and HVAC systems. The system also includes 12 inputs for connecting external sensors to monitor conditions, like vibration, differential pressure, water leak detection, airflow, temperature, and humidity. The Stratus EMS is available with an optional rack-mounted LCD that displays data on-site and an external cellular kit for use when the system cannot be used on the same network as the equipment it is monitoring.
