SILICON VALLEY, Calif. — OnScale has undergone a System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2SM examination resulting in a CPA’s report stating that management of OnScale maintained effective controls over the security, availability, and confidentiality of its SaaS CAE system.

“We are pleased that our SOC 2SM report has shown that we have the appropriate controls in place to mitigate risks related to security, availability, and confidentiality and HIPAA Security Rule Requirements as we continue to provide unparalleled access to cloud engineering simulation — advanced multiphysics solvers running on cloud supercomputers — to engineers around the world who will bring us the next innovations in technology in multiple industries,” said Ian Campbell, CEO of OnScale. “OnScale availability, security, and the protection of customer data are of the utmost importance to us since our customers trust us with their most sensitive design IP.”

In order to achieve SOC 2 compliance, OnScale underwent a rigorous and thorough process including employee background checks, implementation of security policies and confidentiality agreements, vulnerability scans of its network, penetration testing of its production environment, and conformity to security best practices and security audits by OnScale’s cloud partners, AWS, and GCP.
