Facebook has announced, via a Facebook post, that the company will build a new data center in Huntsville, AL, citing the area as a growing tech hub.

The proposed 970,000-sq-ft facility is scheduled to break ground this year and be operational by 2020.

The company states that it is working with the Tennessee Valley Authority to “establish a renewable energy tariff that will let qualifying customers, not just Facebook, buy new renewable resources.” The company is also seeking solar providers to power the facility 100%.
