Console Inc. has announced that Porter Airlines has become a new customer. The leading Canadian airline will be using the innovative Console platform to bypass the public Internet and privately connect to mission-critical partners, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and business-critical aviation software.

The Console platform provides a secure, simple and faster way for companies across the globe to bypass the public Internet and directly connect to business-critical cloud providers, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) providers and other partners. Porter Airlines will use the Console platform for highly secure access to core applications without the need for multiple direct connects or costly network solutions such as Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS). Porter Airlines’ access to the Console platform will be enabled by Q9, a member of Console’s Partner Program.

“We are delighted to welcome a true industry innovator such as Porter Airlines as a customer,” says Al Burgio, founder and CEO of Console Inc. “Console’s unique platform will enable Porter to improve operational efficiency and network performance, enhance security and reduce network management.”

“The simplicity of Console’s interconnection and software platform was a key consideration for us,” comments Daniel Donovan, vice president, information systems and technology, Porter Airlines. “Being able to connect securely to our key technology partners and cloud providers without the complexity of managing multiple connections allows us to focus on our core business and providing outstanding customer service.”
