Signiant has announced that the company has joined the Microsoft Enterprise Cloud Alliance. This collaboration highlights Signiant’s commitment to providing innovative technology to help customers take advantage of Microsoft’s storage solutions.

This news follows Signiant’s recent announcement that Signiant Flight has been validated for compatibility with Microsoft Azure as a Microsoft Azure Certified solution and can now be purchased via the Microsoft Azure Marketplace. Flight is the company’s SaaS solution for the automatic movement of large data sets into and out of object storage — including Microsoft Azure Blob Storage — in a security-enhanced and reliable manner, at speeds up to 200 times faster than a standard transfer.

“Signiant has demonstrated success in helping customers around the world to move large files into and out of cloud storage,” said Nelson Hsu, vice president Business Development & Alliances, Signiant. “We are pleased that Microsoft Corp. has recognized the value of Signiant’s technology and invited us to join the Microsoft Enterprise Cloud Alliance.”

“As the sheer volume of unstructured data grows at an exponential rate, businesses require solutions to move their large data sets, easily and reliably,” said Michael Leworthy, Group Product marketing manager, Enterprise Cloud, Microsoft. “Signiant’s proven solutions allow organizations to overcome the challenges associated with moving large files, and we look forward to continued collaboration with Signiant.”
