Infomart Data Centers has been named a finalist by Capacity Media in the “Best Data Center category” of the 2017 Global Carriers Awards. The Company is recognized for the innovation, vision and excellence demonstrated across its state-of-the-art data center facilities in Portland, Dallas, and Ashburn, with an added focus on its sustainability as well as management and operations initiatives at Infomart Silicon Valley. Infomart Data Centers was selected by an independent panel of 17 judges, including leading analysts, industry experts and the senior editorial team of Capacity magazine.

The annual Global Carrier Awards are the most prestigious awards ceremony dedicated exclusively to wholesale data centers and telecoms, bringing together the industry’s leading names to celebrate innovation, vision and excellence across the global and regional data center market. Infomart was selected as a finalist for exemplifying these qualities in environmental responsibility as well as for being a change-agent in the data center industry, evidenced by recent sustainability initiatives implemented at its Silicon Valley facility, such as 100% “gray” water reuse.

“It’s an honor to be recognized as one of the leading data center providers by the 2017 Global Carrier Awards and Capacity Media,” states John Sheputis, President of Infomart Data Centers. “At Infomart, we’ll never be satisfied with the status quo, and sustainability is no exception. We believe it’s our moral duty to be both an efficient operator and make responsible choices about energy procurement; that is why we buy local, renewable energy instead of Renewable Energy Certificates from distant sources and power our Silicon Valley data center with 100% renewable energy.”

The Global Carrier Awards ceremony and gala dinner are scheduled to take place October 25, 2017 in London, where the award winners, including the “Best Data Center,” will be announced.
