1025Connect has announced that the company will be a prime sponsor of International Telecoms Week 2017 (ITW). ITW, taking place May 14-17 at the Hyatt Regency and Swissotel in Chicago, IL, is the annual meeting for the global wholesale telecoms industry, providing a platform for more than 6700 delegates from nearly 2,000 companies and from more than 140 countries to meet and discuss key issues and developments affecting the global telecom sphere.

Sitting on the “Continental Edge” in the Eastern region of the United States, 1025Connect’s colocation facility on Long Island provides direct access to multiple submarine cable systems connecting North America, Europe and Latin America. In addition, the facility offers direct connectivity to internet peering and cloud platforms with multiple Manhattan bypass fiber routes, enabling diverse and fortified solutions for enterprise and global telecom communications services.

“1025Connect is pleased to be a Prime Sponsor of ITW 2017,” comments Dan Lunde, managing director, 1025Connect. “Our mission, which we look forward to sharing with ITW attendees, is to help companies gain access to space and power while delivering alternative connectivity options that include local, regional and international networks, along with internet and peering platforms that power cloud computing for improved global business enablement.”

1025Connect most recently announced the addition of DE-CIX to its interconnection offering at its colocation facility. DE-CIX New York, the only major IX platform in the New York market, Open-IX certified and one of the top neutral Internet Peering Exchange (IXPs) in the New York metro market, has established a new Point of Presence (PoP) within 1025Connect that serves as host to the easternmost peering point in the New York metro area, enabling easier access and delivery of content distributed to the Continental Edge.
