Cleareon Fiber Networks, a New York City-based provider of dark fiber networks and services, recently announced it has expanded its network further by adding a Point of Presence (PoP) in Digital Realty's 111 8th Avenue colocation facility. With a newly established PoP, Digital Realty's customers can now conveniently access Cleareon's dark fiber network, which is ready to cross-connect to hundreds of wired and wireless carriers, clouds, media companies, financial networks and content providers.

Cleareon is a metro dark fiber provider that is pioneering a new, transparent and straightforward way of doing business. Its dense fiber network connects New York's preeminent data centers and carrier hotels, where customers can access hundreds of service providers.

"Establishing a PoP in Digital Realty's 111 8th Avenue location is an important milestone for Cleareon," comments Cliff Kane, co-CEO of Cleareon. "We are growing an ecosystem of connected data centers and carrier hotels and extending the reach of the service provider community to enterprises in New York City and beyond. Digital Realty's vast carrier and enterprise networks help us continue this growth by providing hassle free connectivity and neutral access to our dark fiber."

"We are very pleased to welcome Cleareon Fiber Networks to Digital Realty's list of premier customers and colocation tenants," adds Chris Sharp, chief technology officer and senior vice president of service innovation at Digital Realty." Digital Realty supports the data center and colocation strategies of more than 1,000 firms across the country. Cleareon boosts our fiber-rich portfolio and brings a great product to the 111 8th Avenue facility."

Near term plans are in place to further expand the Cleareon network throughout Manhattan and across the Hudson and East Rivers into New Jersey, Brooklyn, and Queens.
