Comcast Business has announced that it has established point-of-presence within three key vXchnge data centers.  vXchnge, a carrier-neutral colocation services provider, will now have Comcast Business Ethernet to promote and facilitate profitable exchanges between customers and service providers. With high-density, carrier-neutral infrastructures in eight critical markets, growing to 15 over the next year, vXchnge is expanding its presence across the country to address the localization issues cloud and service providers are currently facing.

To accommodate the growing needs of their customer base and provide a broader network, vXchnge and Comcast Business have established cross-connections in their Santa Clara, California, and Secaucus, New Jersey facilities. A third deployment in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, will be completed in mid-2015. vXchnge has worked with Comcast Business to deploy its fiber network directly into these locations, allowing customers access to Comcast's network and suite of reliable, secure and high-performance Ethernet services. vXchnge facilities currently serve a range of businesses from small-scale start-ups to large corporations in technology, financial services and healthcare, among other industries.

"Our customers are always looking for high-performance connectivity solutions for their network centric applications, as well as options to extend their reach in new markets," said Ernest Sampera, CMO and senior vice president at vXchnge. "This arrangement with Comcast Business is a perfect example of our role as a marketplace for our customers and their cloud and network-dependent applications. Furthermore, it highlights our commitment to ensuring our customers have access to advanced fiber-optic networks, which is a critical factor in our customers' ability to improve their business performance."

For data center connectivity, Comcast Business offers a comprehensive portfolio of Ethernet options, including Ethernet Dedicated Internet, Ethernet Private Line, Ethernet Virtual Private Line and Ethernet Network Services that provide Internet access, point-to-point, and point-to-multipoint connectivity at bandwidth that scales up to 10 Gbps.

"Businesses using vXchnge now have the option of leveraging Comcast Business point-to-point network to optimize their business performance," said Ted Girdner, vice president at Comcast Business, California region. "The scalability and reliability of Comcast Business' network makes it a strong option for vXchnge customers as it provides the flexibility they need to make IT decisions that exceed the needs of their business."
