Power Analytics Corporation has secured three highly esteemed thought leaders from the energy sector as keynote speakers for the company’s 20/20 Vision-Driven Power Conference, October 21-23 in San Diego.

Byron Washom, Ed White and Eli Farrah highlight a list of distinguished speakers and panelists who will lead discussions aimed at challenging assumptions about the future of the intelligent grid.

“Distributed energy generation is coming, so every organization with a vested interest in energy needs to ensure it is properly positioned to benefit from the evolution of the utility model,” said Joe Forbes, Jr., chief executive officer for Power Analytics. “Opportunities to hear from three of the brightest minds in the world of energy at one event simply do not happen often, so everyone who attends this conference will be better prepared to make critical business decisions moving forward.”

As director of Strategic Energy Initiatives at the University of California San Diego (UC San Diego), Byron Washom is responsible for energy management policy to achieve the campus’s goals for quantum improvements in energy management and greenhouse gas reductions. His duties also include overseeing the management of the largest public microgrid in the U.S. today. Prior to UC San Diego, Washom held various management positions within the cleantech sector, and he is a four time Rockefeller Foundation Grantee and a former Heinz Endowment Grantee for early commercialization of Cleantech into developing countries.

Widely regarded as one of the foremost experts on metering and deregulation of the power supply industry, Ed White is currently the chairman and chief executive officer of Field2Base, a technology company that uses tablet computers, wireless communications and specialized software to support mobile forms automation for a variety of vertical markets. In addition to his management duties at Field2Base, White also serves as chairman of the Research Triangle Cleantech Cluster in North Carolina. Previously in his distinguished career, White served as Chairman of Itron, Inc., a leading supplier of energy information and communications solutions to the utility industry.
