7x24 Exchange International’s Board of Directors announced the creation of a Technical Committee to advance the organization’s goal of improving end-to-end reliability in the mission critical industry. The Technical Committee’s first task is supporting 7x24 Exchange’s strategic partnership with the National Science Foundation’s Center for Energy Smart Electronic Systems (ES2). The Committee will provide guidance on university research addressing current and future technologies for mission critical facilities.

David Schirmacher, president of 7x24 Exchange International and senior vice president at Digital Realty, will chair the Technical Committee. Committee members were selected based on technical expertise, knowledge of and long term affiliation with 7x24 Exchange, and commitment to providing value to the mission critical industry. Committee members include Don Beaty, P.E., president of DLB Associates Consulting Engineers; Michael Butkiewicz, P.E., managing director at Goldman Sachs & Co; Robert J. Cassiliano, chairman & CEO of 7x24 Exchange International and president and CEO of Business Information Services; Stephen Fairfax, president of MTechnology; and Vali Sorell, P.E., vice president and chief HVAC engineer for Critical Facilities at Syska Hennessy Group.

“The organization is honored to have such distinguished professionals serving on the committee. They are a valuable resource for 7x24 Exchange, its projects and partnerships.” said Cassiliano.
