NuoDB, Inc. has announced the appointment of two highly accomplished software industry veterans to head up sales, services and product management. Simultaneously the company also announced the doubling of its office space to accommodate rapid growth.
Walmsley and Cellini Join NuoDB
Robert Walmsley has joined the firm as executive vice president of sales and services to further develop NuoDB’s growing portfolio of customers. Walmsley comes with a wealth of experience in the software industry, having spent years at Veracode, IONA Technologies as well as Object Design.
“With the recent investment we received from Dassault Systèmes and our existing investors, we are moving forward aggressively in NuoDB’s go-to-market efforts,” stated Barry Morris, NuoDB CEO and Co-Founder. “Bob and Steve provide us with the wealth of market experience necessary to deliver on achieving our goals.
Bob has run sales organizations ranging from a few people to several hundred, including consistently delivering quarterly results of more than $40 million in revenue, and has been highly successful in the North American, European and Asia Pacific regions. Much of Bob’s career has been spent building high performance sales organizations.
Also, joining the company as vice president of product management is Steve Cellini.
Steve has spent three decades in the software industry, in senior roles ranging from developing software to running teams; from product management to large-scale evangelism initiatives. He was at Microsoft for over ten years, which included the General Manager role for DPE Platform Evangelism, in addition to experience at numerous early stage companies. Steve also ran product management at EMC Systems and earlier in his career was a technical lead and development manager for two leading object-oriented database companies.
NuoDB doubles office space
Simultaneous with the appointment of the two executives, NuoDB also announced a doubling of its office space. Rapid growth and open positions necessitated the move, which will be completed in late April 2014. The expansion occurs at the company’s present location in Cambridge, MA.
