Zayo, a provider of fiber-based bandwidth infrastructure and network-neutral colocation services, and the T1Company, a provider of high-speed dedicated access and hosted Cisco VoIP services, have entered into a dark fiber agreement for services in the Cleveland market.

“Zayo is excited to have the T1Company as a new customer,” said Mike D’Angelo, general manager for Zayo’s Northeast region. “We look forward to fostering the relationship and meeting T1’s additional bandwidth infrastructure needs in the future.”

The T1Company provides a wide range of Internet and traditional services including leased lines, managed firewall and VPN, hosted VoIP, web and email hosting, colocation, data storage, and retrieval.

“Zayo’s fiber will connect our data center to the heart of the business district in downtown Cleveland,” said Don Hemmelgarn, President of the T1Company. “This connectivity gives us the opportunity to provide affordable high-speed Ethernet and private line services to businesses we previously were not able to serve. Metro and wide area Ethernet services are simply the next evolution in our history of bringing leading edge technology and competitive advantage to our customers. We are pleased to have Zayo as our partner in this endeavor.”

The solution includes existing and newly constructed fiber and is scheduled to be complete in June 2011.
