What made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in technology?
It was sparked by an early exposure to computers and programming when I was in junior high school. I realized I enjoy the creating process and understanding how technology works. The field of technology offers a platform for innovation and creativity. It was a perfect fit in technology-related study and career.
What inspires you to do what you do?
I recognize the profound impact technology has on our day-to-day activity, people, society, including its ability to improve lives, solve global problems, and facilitate communication that inspires and motivates me to contribute positive change through technology.
What role does sustainability play in your life?
Sustainability is a vast concept to encompass entirely. However, I am confident that every small effort I make to reduce the negative impact on the world contributes meaningfully. Whether it’s enhancing product design, streamlining paperless processes, or reducing transportation routes, each step counts. Sustainable living at home, emphasizing efficient and responsible resource use, includes practices like waste reduction, thoughtful household purchasing decisions, reuse and recycling. I consistently remind my young children to be mindful of how our actions impact others.
What is the most fascinating thing you have learned while working in this industry?
I am fascinated by the progression of technology, evolving from the first Industrial Revolution to the current phase of Industrial Revolution 5.0. This swiftly advancing domain requires continuous learning, prompting the acquisition of new skills to stay updated on the latest advancements. The dynamic nature of technology holds great appeal for me, and it's my curiosity that serves as the driving force to stay motivated.
What’s something unique about you personally?
I prefer orderliness and structure.
What’s something unique about you professionally?
I find great excitement from planning, setting goals and embarking on the journey to achieving them. This enthusiasm is my daily motivation to rise early each morning. Of course, the good coffee is too.
What’s your most admirable quality?
Adaptability! Given the dynamic nature of our world, I think adaptability is crucial. I believe that being able to swiftly adjust to new situations, technologies, or challenges is vital. Failure to do so would hinder my own progress and negatively impact the effectiveness of the team.
Why is diversity, equality, and inclusion important to you?
I believe in collective intelligence, diversity brings together individuals with varied backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. This enriches discussions, problem-solving, and creativity by incorporating a wide range of ideas and viewpoints. Equality is essential for fostering a harmonious environment, a quality which I think is still improvement in our society, resulting in instances of injustice and unfairness. As for inclusion, I want an inclusive workplace where the team feels valued and included contributes to higher employee engagement. This, in turn, can lead to increased productivity and job satisfaction.
What aspect of the industry do you think has the most potential for growth, and, on the other hand, which aspect do you think needs the most improvement?
A few in my list, which includes AI innovation, biotechnology, renewable energy, etc. And I believe that the sector of green and sustainable practices has the highest potential for growth. This is attributed to the fact that all industries are connected to clean energy, eco-friendly products, and sustainable practices.
When you imagine the future of the technology industry, what does it look like?
Future Vision for the technology industry: Human-like robots and super quantum computing. Possibly during my lifetime: Space elevators. Beyond my time: Time traveling and ubiquitous telecommunication for everyone.
